MATERIALS BUYER

Responsibilities include: Developing comprehensive Bill of Material (B.O.M.) for use in bids and proposals, analyze price comparisons and select vendors. Research and procure materials, services and equipment for ship repair. Qualifications: Must be familiar with Mil Specs, Mil Stds, Fed Specs, able to read drawings and technical manuals. Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word) and be able to communicate effectively. Previous shipboard engineering or mechanical trades experience highly desired. Job may require overtime, willingness to travel. Must have or be able to obtain minimum confidential security clearance.
